Hutt City wastewater projects

The Hutt City Council is focused on reducing the wastewater infiltration into the stormwater network with an active programme of testing and renewals.

Dublin Street, Wainuiomata

Sewer mains are being replaced to minimise leak risks. Pipelaying is under way and the project is epxected to run until mid-May.

Sewer renewals

Work to improve lateral pipes and connections in the Leighton Avenue catchment area, and pressure testing and CCTV investigations are under way throughout the city.

Work on sewer renewals will start mid April in Westminster Road, Wainuiomata, to reduce the impact of heavy rains.

Vista Grove in Kelson is also in line for a renewal project, and renewals are also scheduled in Naenae from June.
