Managing

Managing.

Managing water, wastewater and stormwater services for our clients requires ongoing reviews, investigations and assessments of the assets to ensure we are getting the best outcomes for both our clients and their residents and ratepayers.

As a part of this we manage maintenance and operations contracts; prepare new contracts and manage the tendering processes for our clients.  We are actively engaged with the major maintenance contractors to ensure that the work is carried out to a high standard and that all calls logged are progressed accordingly.

We also undertake strategic reviews of our clients’ assets enabling us to plan for the management of these assets going forward particularly in the face of the changing demands put on the assets as cities continue to grow and flourish.

We look at demand growth, consumption trends, storage requirements, asset and supply utilisation, network redundancy, network configuration and the optimisation of the network and strategic mains renewal/replacement programmes.

We continue to look at ways of improving flood protection and minimise the impacts of flooding for all our clients.

Water conservation is an important part of managing water supply and demand for our clients and includes looking at water loss and leak reduction as well as other opportunities to promote water conservation to the public.
