Planning

Planning is a critical first plank in the management of any water, stormwater and wastewater service.
At Capacity Infrastructure Services we pride ourselves on our best practice asset management planning and management of the water, stormwater and wastewater networks of our clients.
Our planning covers everything from asset management to catchment management plans and flood hazard maps.
We undertake planning on Public Health Risk Management, enabling our clients to be at the forefront of meeting new legislative requirements.
We have developed systems for the prioritisation of capital works for water, stormwater and wastewater assets which help to demonstrate the linkages between our clients’ capital works programmes to the community outcomes in their Long Term Council Community Plans (LTCCPs).
Risk management planning is important to our clients. We work with our clients to help identify the potential risks of not achieving the objectives set out in their asset management plans and how to manage those risks to an acceptable level.
Helping our clients to be more efficient in their future planning of asset management is very important to us. Asset valuation is one area where we have been able to identify improvements that can be made and pass on the benefits to our clients.
Sustainability of stormwater management is also important to our clients. We help them to achieve this by looking at the plans required and developing these for them. This has included the development of Assessment of Water and Sanitary Services plans and Liquid Waste plans.
